Here is a question from Victoria asking other Boston Terrier ownersĀ their advices about puppy potty training and separation anxiety.
She says : “Yesterday we got a 3 month old Boston Terrier. Since then she has peed quite a few times, but only does it when we leave the room. When she’s alone i can hear her whining and barking from the other room and when i go check on her i’m always greeted by a puddle of pee in her crate. The problem is that i want to potty train her, but since she doesn’t ‘go’ in my presence i can neither praise her for doing it in the right place nor scold her for the opposite. Also I don’t want to stay in the same room as her 24/7, as she might develop separation anxiety next week when i start work. I tried wetting her pad a little with some urine to lure her into peeing there but it doesn’t seem to work. How do i make her pee while i’m watching and are there any tips for preventing separation anxiety?”
Does anyone have any advices and/or experiences?

We had trouble to start….take them out as soon as you get up…even in your pjs. And give a treat when it happens. Then they say about 30 mins after food x
Ours had the worst separation anxiety ever. Tried everything. No behavioural things worked. She was on medication which helped slightly but didn’t work all the time. Found some herbal tablets called yu calm which worked as well if not better than the ones from the vets costing 100 a month. But best thing by far wad a dog heat pad. Like a hot water bottle. Since we got this her anxiety has nearly disappeared x
