Here is a question from Doreen Ewe asking if anyone have any experience with Patellar Luxation Surgery and if the surgery is mostly successful for Boston Terrier dogs.
She says : “This is Loki. He is 10 months old. In the last few weeks I noticed him walking on 3 legs once in a while when playing and running around. Didn’t think of anything bad but it got worse. Yesterday we went to the vet and he confirmed it’s PL (Patellar Luxation). Left leg is a PL 2-3 and right leg is a PL 1-2 … Surgery is needed.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of surgery? Is it mostly successful? A friend told me not to go for it because it is worse after the surgery in most cases. Should I put him on green lipped mussel extract? Does anyone have experience with that? He doesn’t seem to be in pain. I can touch his knee without him crying or anything.”
